Here he is. Middle of a hanger laying face down on his couch, bewildered at what's happened. There was Deathscythe looming over him in the back, a broken down motorcycle in the corner and loads of scrap piled everywhere. God... He's home isn't he? Enough with the fucking dimension hopping! This was the last place he wanted to be.
He leaned forward and placed his forehead in his hands.
"Goddamnit."
He leaned forward and placed his forehead in his hands.
"Goddamnit."

He moved on to the door, but even the door seems to be stuck, so he goes to the big doors, pressing the red button on the side and the blast doors rise up, only to show a pile of rubble pile in.
It was clear on his face that Duo was concerned, worry all over it. "Aw man..."
no subject
"I'm guessing it's not supposed to do that."
no subject
"...Aaah. God... Goddamnit!"
no subject
"Wanna tell me what's going on?"
no subject
"Looks like there was another war here!"
no subject
"Well, what now?"
no subject
"The old professor's a creep but he'll beable to give us information C'mon, go back inside."

"Welcome to the rebellion."

He turned around a corner, flashing his lights onthe roof as a car went over.
"At least this colony is still habitable. That's a good sign. Let's hope that its just a non issue. I can call the preventers and find out what happened."

Down this hall there's a large door, Duo presses a button.
"Hey old man! Open up!" He'll hack the door if he needs to.

"Looks like the God of Plague is in after all." Duo said with a wry joking smirk.
Meeting them inside however, is the man himself. Short with a long nose and a long scar on his left cheek. This old man was the very definition of mad scientists. Bonkers even.
He glared at the two with his sharp eyes.
"Duo. Where have you been? In four months, you've already been declared dead."
Duo greeted the old man with a curt nod, then glanced to his comrade briefly.
"Ah... Hard to explain, but I've been stuck in an alternate universe believe it or not."
"I do not."
no subject
"For important stuff. It was important. Totally not the issue here."
no subject
"What happened?"
"Since you left there have been several minor conflicts in space. Former soldiers unsatisfied with the new regime."
"What about the preventers?" Duo asks, a brow raising. So just like he thought? Those bastards at Century Discover and the White Fang.
"Preventers do what they can with what limited resources they possess." His look is still hard, like drilling daggers into Duo.
"Figured... great." Now he was gonna get the blunt end for this. A nice swift kick to the ribs metaphorically.
Duo turns from the old man and gazes around the room. "It's not like I could do anything about it, yehknow." He started up the stairs. Get to the elevator to the surface from here.
"C'mon, Steph."
no subject
"Where are we going?" she asked, but followed anyway. He knew what he was doing more than she did.
no subject
"Ky, Darwin... My dad. I gotta go see my dad and his old man."
no subject
"Maybe I should do my hair first," she joked.
no subject
Duo moved into the elevator.
no subject
"So I get to meet your dad. Exciting."
no subject
He smiled a bit and nodded. "I thought he was dead all these years. He lost me in a riot he says, when I was three."
no subject
"Lucky you, finding him again. Think he'll like me?" Not that she was really worried. But maybe she was. Just a little.
no subject
"I think he'll love you. Still lookin' for my mom if she's even alive though."
